Skincare and Haircare Empties #36

Skincare and Haircare Empties #36

It’s already time for another empties blog post and this time I have emptied a range of products that were with me for the longest time. We often feel that body wash or cleansing oil is better in 250ml or 150ml quantity, but I have had a hard time emptying a cleansing oil that is 150ml which is none other than my favourite Klairs Gentle Fresh Cleansing Oil. Let’s head straight to the empties post.

Klairs Gentle Fresh Cleansing Oil

My all time favourite Klairs Gentle Fresh Cleansing Oil that I picked up from Nykaa in full size by just reading the ingredients’ list. I have never been this proud of my skincare purchases that I didn’t even bother to try a mini bottle before trying it out. I love everything about this oil cleanser, the packaging, consistency, emulsifying property, ingredients, literally everything. If you have oily, combination skin I would highly recommend you to pick this oil cleanser.

The Moms Co Natural Body Wash

I liked using this body wash and enjoyed it’s fragrance. The body wash lasted me for almost 5 months or more than that. It was a gift from Yogeeta from vrag.in . Honestly speaking I would love getting it again just for the fragrance.

Roop Mantra Cucumber face wash

I remember using this face wash many years ago and not having a single acne during that period. So when I stopped using the salicylic acid based face washes in monsoons I switched to Roop Mantra Cucumber face wash and have already stocked up on 100ml pack of two. I love love using this face wash and would recommend it people with oily, combination skin type.

Derma Co 4% Ceramide Moisturizer

I am always up for an oil free, ceramide based moisturizer and couldn’t help but empty Derma Co 4% Ceramide Moisturizer. It works well in tackling dehydrated skin and works better even with a sunscreen. However, it may cause a little sweating in the scorching summers. Overall speaking, I will b picking up again in monsoons or winters next time.

Dot and Key Hairfall control Shampoo

While using this shampoo I didn’t have any high hopes but as I continued using it, I realised how I shed less hair in the shower whenever I use this shampoo. Although, hair fall can be attributed to dietary deficiencies, who doesn’t like a shampoo that doens’t shed extra hair? I have repurchased this shampoo and I keep on alternating it with the others in my stash.

Plum Rosemary and Redensyl Hair Growth Serum

I tried the viral Wishcare Hair Serum, but sadly it gave me dandruff and hairfall. So when Plum launched a hair serum, I picked it up almost immediately after the launch. This works good in tackling hairfall while not being too watery. The dropper helps in dispensing right amount. I have already emptied another bottle which I didn’t post because I wanted to test before forming an opinion.

Cool Phool Cleansing Malai

Remember the craze of cleansing milks back in the early 2000s? With the cleansing oils and balms, they are no longer used as much now. However, this cleansing malai is a do it all kind of product. It cleanses the skin while moisturizing it and will be perfect for upcoming summers.

Bare Anatomy Ultra Smoothing Hair Serum

I have been using this hair serum for almost an year and I would say if you hair serums don’t work for you, then give this one a try. It works well on damp hair and fights frizz very well. However, the effects may not last beyond 4 days. Additionally, it is easy to wash off in next hair wash unlike Loreal Paris hair serum.

Dr Sheths Ceramide and Vitamin C Oil free Moisturizer

I used this moisturizer so consistently in the winters that I stopped only when I emptied the tube. I carried it with me during my vacation in December to Hyderabad as well and it didn’t disappoint me at all. Due to the lightweight consistency and ceramides, the product excellently keeps the skin hydrated. It worked well even after applying a sunscreen lotion after it. If you are looking for a good, lightweight ceramide moisturizer for oily, combination skin then this is it.

Minis which I received with my purchases from Nykaa and Plum website as follows
Plum mists

Some body mists from Plum are good whereas some give me a headache. I enjoyed using the Trippin Mimosas, Hawaiian Rumba ones.

Plum Vanilla Vibes Body Wash

A very sweet smelling body wash that lathers up good although the fragrance doesn’t last even for a good 5 minutes. Moreover, with regular use of this small bottle, my palms became dry as hell in winters. It would probably be a good choice to use this body wash during the summers.

Plum Vanilla Caramello Body Lotion

The fragrance of this body lotion is so mesmerizing that I loved slathering it on everyday. I might pick up this in a full size. It moisturizes the skin sufficiently without being greasy or oily. However, it wouldn’t be sufficient for people with dry skin.

Dot and Key Cica Salicylic Acid face wash

I have used this face wash in full size earlier and I don’t like it much after using Foxtale Salicylic acid face wash. This one hardly exfoliates the skin. You may give it a miss as better options do exist.

That’s all for today, I will soon post some reviews. Happy Skincare!
