ETV Bharat reported that the Dataganj Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district have filed a case against Nikhil Nanda and several officials of a tractor company, accusing them of fraud and abetment to suicide. The case was filed after a court order, naming Nikhil Nanda, the company’s CMD, along with other officials, including the UP head, area manager, sales manager, a Shahjahanpur dealer, and three others. They are accused of allegedly pushing a tractor agency owner to take his own life.
The complaint was filed by Gyanendra, a resident of Papad Hamzapur village. His brother, Jitendra Singh, ran a tractor agency called Jai Kisan Traders in Dataganj with his partner, Lalla Babu. However, after Babu was jailed due to a family dispute, Jitendra had to manage the agency on his own.

According to the ETV Bharat report, Gyanendra claims in his complaint that Nikhil Nanda, along with other company officials—Ashish Baliyan (area manager), Sumit Raghav (sales manager), Dinesh Pant (UP head), Pankaj Bhaskar (financier collection officer), Amit Pant (sales manager), Neeraj Mehra (sales head), and Shishant Gupta (Shahjahanpur dealer)—constantly pressured Jitendra to increase sales.
The officials also allegedly threatened to revoke Jitendra’s dealership license, which led him to confide his distress to family and friends. In his complaint, Gyanendra mentioned that on November 21, 2024, company officials pressured Jitendra to increase sales, and the following day, Jitendra took his own life. The family claims the police did not take action until the court intervened, after which a case was filed against the accused.
The ETV Bharat report also mentioned that Jitendra’s father, Shiv Singh, stated he was unaware of Nikhil Nanda’s connections but holds the company responsible for his son’s death. He expressed, “I don’t know who he is. We want justice.” The in-charge of Dataganj police station, Gaurav Vishnoi, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
Nikhil Nanda is the son of Ritu Nanda, Raj Kapoor’s daughter. He is married to Shweta Bachchan, the daughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. The couple has two children: Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.
