According to Deadline, Daniel Craig is no longer attached to star as Sergeant Franklin John Rock in Luca Guadagnino’s Sgt. Rock movie at DC.


Untitled Monsterverse Movie

Deadline also has word Jack O’Connell will star alongside Kaitlyn Dever and Dan Stevens in the currently untitled next film of Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise. Directed by Grant Sputore and based on a script by Dave Callaham, the story is only said to “feature several new human characters alongside Titans Godzilla and Kong, as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat. ”


Hancock 2

During a recent Twitch livestream (via Deadline), Will Smith stated he’s courting Zendaya for a potential role in a sequel to the actor’s original 2008 superhero movie.

There’s a really cool Hancock 2 idea. We haven’t even talked about it. I’m going to give you one little piece. Zendaya [is] being approached for a role in Hancock 2.


Portal to Hell

Deadline also has word Richard Kind, Keith David, Trey Holland, Romina D’Ugo, Michael McDonald, Casey Deidrick, Trevor Newlin, Ryan Follesé, Kevin Fonteyne, and Monet Weir will star in Portal to Hell, a horror-comedy from writer/director Woody Bess in which a debt collector named Dunn (Holland), ” lives a life of routine until a portal to hell opens in his local laundromat, followed by a demon (Kind) sent to drag his neighbor, Mr. Bobshank (David), to hell for an unpaid debt. Helping people settle their debts is Dunn’s specialty, but when the demon offers a sinister deal—three souls in exchange for Bobshank’s freedom—he refuses. However, when one of his debtors follows him to the laundromat, the line between right and wrong begins to blur, forcing Dunn to make a choice that could cost him his own soul.”


Street Fighter

Deadline additionally has word Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip) is now attached to direct a new Street Fighter movie for Capcom and Legendary.


Untitled Bong Joon Ho Horror Movie

During a recent interview with MBC Korea (via Fangoria), Bong Joon-ho revealed he hopes to direct a new action-horror film set in the subway of Seoul after his planned animated film about sea creatures.

That’s kind of like my life project. I’ve been thinking about it since 2001. We’re running through the underground section of the subway. In the car next to us, people wearing similar clothes start to come over to our side. We’re running. A lot of people start to come over to our side.
