Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Assembly started on Monday with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer addressing a joint session of the Legislative Assembly and Council to mark the beginning of the session.
Finance Minister P. Keshav is expected to present the first full-fledged budget on February 28. To ensure smooth conduct of the proceedings, Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu conducted a review meeting to discuss the arrangements and security measures to be taken in view of the budget session.
He emphasized that all members should be present in the Assembly by 9.30 am for the Governor’s address and made it clear that the personal assistants of MLAs would not get passes for the session. Earlier, AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Ayyanna Patrudu welcomed the Governor.
