Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever Electric car launched at Auto Expo 2025.

Maruti Suzuki, E Vitara reveals itself at Auto Expo 2025. Maruti will launch this EV in March. The E Vitara takes after the eVX concept which was previewed back in 2023 and will go on sale with two battery pack options. Its twin from Toyota, the Urban Cruiser EV, which has also been showcased at the Auto Expo, arrives later in the year.

Range, Battery, and Charging of Maruti E Vitara

The Maruti E Vitara has two battery options, 49kWh and 61kWh, that use Lithium Iron Phosphate blade cells like BYD. 49kWh and 61kWh battery options have a power of 143hp and 173hp respectively. Both battery options provide 192.5Nm torque.  Maruti hasn’t yet revealed the range of E Vitara but says the larger battery will offer a range of more than 500km.

Maruti also announced that it will set up fast chargers at dealerships in the top 100 cities, a dedicated charging app, and over 1,500 EV-specific service centers in more than 1,000 cities.

First-Time Features on a Maruti Suzuki Car

  1. Largest Touchscreen Infotainment System (10.25 inches)

The E Vitara comes with the largest 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system ever seen on a Maruti Suzuki car. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and connected car technology.

  1. Largest Digital Driver’s Display (10.1 inches)

Another first for the car is the 10.1-inch digital driver’s display, which well surpasses 7-inch units seen in others like the Grand Vitara and Invicto.

  1. 10-way Powered Driver’s Seat

It is the first time that a 10-way powered driver’s seat is to be offered from Maruti that offers more adjustment than the existing 8-way units of others. Paired with ventilated front seats, the comfort quotient now goes up even more.

  1. 7 Airbags as Standard

The E Vitara is the first Maruti Suzuki car with 7 airbags as standard across all variants, marking new safety benchmarks.

  1. Fixed Glass Roof

E Vitara gets its first on any Maruti car, a fixed glass roof. Not a panoramic roof, but it adds a touch to the cabin ambiance.

  1. Multi-color Ambient Lighting

Maruti has introduced multi-colour ambient lighting. This will allow users to personalize their cabin environment with different hues, making the night driving experience much better.

  1. Infinity Sound System

The E Vitara introduces a premium 10-speaker Infinity sound system for the first time in Maruti, promising an immersive audio experience for music lovers.

The Maruti E Vitara comes with Polyhedral Muscular Stance but some things like the sharper edges and creases and the large alloy wheels have been toned down. The  E Vitara now comes with R18 aerodynamic alloy tires. It will be available in 10 colors with four dual-tone options.

E Vitara includes three-point Matrix LED DRLs at the front and rear, a charging port on the front left splashboard, a C-pillar-mounted rear door handle, and a prominent bulge over the rear wheel arch. Maruti says the e Vitara has a 5.2-metre turning radius.

The interior of Maruti E Vitara includes a 26.04-inch Multi-Information display which consists of a 10.25-inch infotainment system and a 10.1-inch instrument cluster. It provides a digital cockpit experience along with wireless charging and a sunroof with a fixed glass.

In terms of features, the E Vitara gets three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport along with these a snow mode is added as well, single-zone auto climate control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, ventilated front seats, a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, reclining rear seats, 7 airbags, and Level 2 ADAS.

Price and Rivals of Maruti E Vitara

The price of Maruti E Vitara will be revealed in March. Expected rivals of Maruti E Vitara are Tata Curvv EV (Price starts from Rs 17.49 lakh to 21.99 lakh), MG ZS EV (Price starts from Rs 18.98 lakh to 25.75 lakh), and Mahindra BE 6 (Price starts from Rs 18.90 lakh to 26.90 lakh).
