Method 2: Via Parivhan Portal

  • Search for “Parivahan Portal” on your browser.
  • Click on “Online Service” at the top side.
  • Select the eChallan option from the drop-down list.
  • Press on the “Pay online” option that will appear above.
  • Fill in details about the DL or vehicle number.
  • You will see any pending challans along with violation details and fines.

How to Pay an eChallan in Amritsar?

Method 1: On the Punjab Traffic Police Website

  • Go to the official website of “Punjab Traffic Police” website.
  • Enter your email ID and the registration number of your vehicle.
  • Click on “Search” (You can also put in the challan number if you have it already)
  • After you click on “Search”, you will be taken to the payment page, where you can choose from various payment options such as debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
  • After a successful payment, you will get a receipt. Save it for your future reference.

Method 2: On the Parivahan Portal Website

  • Search for “Parivahan Portal” on your browser.
  • Click on “Online Service” located on the top side.
  • Select the eChallan option from the drop-down list.

Method 3: Offline Method 

  • Visit the nearest traffic police station with essential documents – Driving license, Adhaar card, and your traffic violation challan. From there on, you can pay your challan directly in cash or UPI. 
  • Another way for you is to find a traffic police, with a challan machine. Show them your challan details, identity proof, and your driving licence, and you can pay your challan.
  • For those who are incapable of visiting in person, you can send a Demand Draft or Cheque to the Traffic Police Headquarters along with your challan details for processing.
