Holiday Inn New Delhi Mayur Vihar has announced a special Chuseok, Korean Thanksgiving at their Pan Asian restaurant, featuring the culinary expertise of Chef Lee, from Suwon, South Korea, known for her authentic approach to traditional Korean cuisine. special menu celebration is from 13th September to 13th October, Every Friday to Sunday.

Now you wonder what will be on the Food menu, before we go ahead let me first speak of the fact this is one Celebration that has covered Vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes alike. The food can be opted as ala carte or a package deal that comes in various courses with a pre-paid menu with outstanding portion size.

Here’s what all I had on this culinary journey but before I do that let me take a minute to explain this really outstanding Chef – Chef Lee. While one goes for International Culinary experience and has a chef behind the curation leading you, you expect very serious conversation in a set tone about the menu and lots of detailing about the food on menu but Chef Lee is next level pro gen z from her way of weaving conversation around the Food on menu with a cultural lineage to the dish on table, an expert in all trendy poses to strike a Korean pose and a delightful company to explore Korea from her growing up years and stories of her mom’s cooking balancing it with the ingredients and diet patern doses of Korean. What will amaze you about the chef is she is half Indian who not only fluently speaks Hindi but also knows even the number ( digits ) in Hindi adding the flavour of a dessi-ness of her later part of life in India with exposure to states like Bihar, Orisa, Rajasthan as she candidly adds “Tees saal se India main hoon and pichle dus Saal in Delhi NCR only toh main half Indian hoon ” and hence over a decade in Great Noida where she runs a Korean kitchen.
Chef Lee ,with years of hard work perfecting Korean dishes, and inspired by her mom style of cooking will take you on a flavorful journey through the heart of Korea’s diverse food culture using authentic ingredients and traditional techniques, that showcases the best of Korean cuisine for both vegetarian and non- vegetarian palate.

Everything that she served and the speed with it all came on the table was indeed a delight , as if it was QSR in action as that’s the Korean style of eating experience. Preparation that has a very controlled and moderated way of cooking ensuring that the guest gets served as soon as he hits a Korean Restaurant. Don’t blame me if you have not experienced this in India but as per Chef that’s how Korean Restaurants operated and that’s Korean chef are trained on. So While I validate that on my next Korea trip with my first hand experience, you may go ahead and explore this Korean Delight over the weekends at #Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar before 13th Oct in their Pan Asian Restaurant on ground floor. And if you don’t have a company you know whom to look around to explore more of Korea

The menu comprises of an extensive range of Korean dishes like Bibimbab, Gujeol Pan, Ddeokbakki, Kkanppong Gi and don’t miss the Taraegua, a traditional dessert to complete the meal and rest is for you to unfold
