Promising start
Having started his career with Gangotri, Allu Arjun was praised for his commitment to the role. He quickly turned the tides with youthful drama Arya which went on to become a blockbuster. The Sukumar directorial truly established the arrival of Allu Arjun on to the silver screen. He followed it up with Bunny, another youthful entertainer, and was described as a rising star in Tollywood. With Desamuduru, the actor cemented his place in the industry – carving a niche for himself.

There was a time when actors from second and third generation were trying to make inroads into Tollywood. Allu Arjun started to experiment with roles and pushed himself out of comfort zone. Films like Badrinath, Varudu, Arya 2, Iddarammayilatho, Vedam among many fell in that direction. The actor’s performance was appreciated, and his choice of films were also taken notice of.

Allu Arjun struck the box office with vengeance with Trivikram Srinivas Julyai. The film was a welcome breakthrough for the actor who till that point had ordinary outings at the ticket window. His next film Race Gurram was the biggest hit in his career till then. His characterization, interesting plotline and writing worked big time in the film’s favour. His role as a devoted son in S/O Satyamurthy was an extension to his versatile filmography. Allu Arjun’s special appearance as Gona Ganna Reddy in the film Rudhramadevi shows his passion towards the craft. His fans couldn’t stop raving about his look and body language in the part. It was also during this point of time the actor garnered the tag stylish.
The elusive club
With Sarrainodu (2016), he entered the elusive 100-crore club and yet again, proved his box office stamina. The film not only established his image quotient but also strengthened his box office power. Despite commercial success, his passion for being versatile continued with films like Duvvada Jagannadham and Naa Peru Surya. And at a time when many films are being on a Pan India scale, Allu Arjun’s 2020 film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo was the first step towards superstardom. The film collected more than 280 crores at the global box office and heralded a new beginning. But many didn’t know that success was only a stepping stone towards superstardom.
Superstardom and global fame
With Pushpa The Rise, Allu Arjun showed another dimension to his acting. While the film was a blockbuster in Telugu, the action entertainer effortlessly stormed into the 100-crore club at the Hindi box office – making Allu Arjun a Pan India star. Many were in love with the actor’s raw and rugged character of Pushpa. His signature gesture Jhukega Nahi was an instant rage among the celebrities across the world. Buoyed by the super success of the first instalment, director Sukumar made Pushpa 2 The Rule. The action drama was a blockbuster and went on to become the highest grosser in Indian cinema catapulting Allu Arjun to global fame. The actor is now a phenomenon in Indian cinema.

Allu Arjun’s style game has always been on point from the very beginning. His wardrobe in the films is always inspiring – and sets new tones.
