2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara gets a new strong hybrid trim, six airbags as standard, new alloy wheels and added features
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has updated the Grand Vitara for 2025 and it now carries a starting price of Rs. 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets six airbags as standard across all variants alongside other safety features like Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, disc brakes on all wheels, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and 3-point ELR seat belts for every passenger.
A major mechanical update comes in the form of the Suzuki ALLGRIP Select AWD system now being available with a 6-speed automatic transmission, following the launch of the similar spec Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder a couple of days ago. Adding to its strong hybrid range, Maruti Suzuki has also introduced the new Delta+ Strong Hybrid variant at Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
It joins the Zeta+ and Alpha+ options in the electrified lineup. On the feature front, the Grand Vitara gets a significant boost. The cabin now offers an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, LED interior lamps, rear door sunshades and an auto air purifier featuring a PM 2.5 display. Moreover, the automatic variants also benefit from the EPB (Electronic Parking Brake).

Premium features like the panoramic sunroof, once reserved for top-end trims, are now available in more variants — Zeta (O), Zeta+ (O), Alpha (O) and Alpha+ (O) — giving more customers access to this popular addition. It comes in response to rising customer expectations in the midsize SUV segment where sunroofs are increasingly seen as a must-have.
Aesthetically, the updated Grand Vitara distinguishes itself with newly styled R17 precision-cut alloy wheels. The SUV continues to offer a wide range of options across 18 variants with multiple powertrain choices including Smart Hybrid, Strong Hybrid, and ALLGRIP AWD. All versions are now E20 fuel-ready, aligning with the more stringent emission standards.

It continues to use the 1.5L mild-hybrid and 1.5L strong hybrid petrol units.
Speaking on the new 2025 Grand Vitara, Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “The updated Grand Vitara reiterates our commitment to adapt to changing customer priorities, especially regarding safety and comfort. By making 6 airbags standard across all variants and adding new premium features, we are enhancing the value proposition of our flagship SUV while staying true to the core values that define our brand.”
