Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha’s ward, Time And Tide, ridden by jockey A. Sandesh, clinched victory in the Zavaray S. Poonawalla Sprinters’ Challenge, the main attraction of Saturday’s (April 5) races.
The winner is owned by Mr. Vikram Bacchawat rep. Bachhawat Farms Pvt. Ltd.
Sandesh kept Time And Tide in fourth position until the bend and, as they entered the home straight, Sandesh skilfully manoeuvred his mount between the horses. His saddle slipped in the final 100 metres, yet he maintained his balance and rode to a thrilling victory, winning the race by a long neck.
Trainer Pesi Shroff stole the limelight by saddling three winners.
