5 Samsung phones with long software support you can buy under Rs 50,000 | Technology News

Samsung is one of the few smartphone makers that offers long term software support for most of its smartphones, be it a budget, mid-range or premium device. If you are looking to buy a Samsung phone under Rs 50,000, here are some of the best options across different price segments.

Launched earlier this year, the Galaxy F06 is Samsung’s first 5G phone under Rs 10,000. Featuring the Dimensity 6300 chipset, which also powers the more expensive Galaxy M16. The device comes with One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box with the company promising 4 years of OS and security updates.

The back of the phone features a new elliptical shaped camera island that houses a 50MP primary lens alongside a 2MP macro/depth shooter. It comes with 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The base version of the Galaxy M56 with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 9,199, but we recommend spending a bit more and going with the 6GB RAM version, which costs Rs 10,699.

Galaxy M56

The newly launched Galaxy M36 is a good mid-range phone that may last you for years to come. Featuring the Exynos 1480 chipset, the phone has a huge 120Hz 6.74-inch AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both the front and back.

Weighing just 182 grams, the Galaxy M36 also happens to be the thinnest phone in its price segment, measuring just 7.2mm in width. However, it looks like Samsung had to use 5,000mAh battery instead of a 6,000mAh one to reduce the thickness. It runs on One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box and is set to get 6 years of Android updates and security patches.

The back of the phone sports the new elliptical camera island like the Galaxy F06, but instead of two, you get three cameras with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro lens. The Galaxy M56 starts from Rs 24,999 and will be available on Amazon April 23 onwards.
