JAAT is a success as it held up well on Wednesday with collections close to the 4 crore nett mark. Due to the holiday on Monday and discounted rates on Tuesday, the test was going to be Wednesday and the film has managed to hold collections well that day. The Wednesday number is less than 45% down from Friday and this is despite a Monday holiday and discounted Tuesday, which got extra admits.

The seven day first week number has closed on around 55.50 crore nett and the extended eight day week may go close to around 59 crore nett. JAAT is the second success of a drought ridden year and now it remains to be seen if the film can emerge a HIT.  A open week second week would have helped its cause but it has KESARI CHAPER 2 for competition. Although both films have a different audience profile, a big new release does affect the holdover films compared to an open week.

Its a film that the industry was not taking seriously and when the film opened, very low lifetime numbers were going around but it has exceeded those numbers in just seven days and more is to come. The film saw good holds the across the board but outside Rajasthan, Haryana and UP, it can be said that the holds at low levels but that is good enough for the film. The film is a HIT in Rajasthan, Delhi/UP and East Punjab and many centers in these pockets will be giving competition to KESARI CHAPER 2 even though JAAT will be in week two.

The seven day business of JAAT is as follows.

Thursday – 9,00,00,000 apprx

Friday – 6,65,00,000 apprx

Saturday – 9,35,00,000 apprx

Sunday – 14,00,00,000 apprx

Monday – 7,25,00,000 apprx

Tuesday – 5,50,00,000 apprx

Wednesday – 3,85,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 55,60,00,000 apprx

JAAT has done well in its first week as it collected 59.50 crore nett in its first week with the last day of the week closing at 4 crore nett where the drop is still less than 50% of the Friday. The film did decent over the weekend and then got benefit of partial holiday on Monday and the cheap rates on Tuesday which meant the test was going to come after this. The film has held up well on Wednesday and Thursday.

The film is driven by business in Rajasthan and parts of the Delhi/UP and east Punjab circuits while business elsewhere remains steady at low levels. The downside for the film is the business in Mumbai circuit where it could have done much better though Gujarat is very steady. So, the ratio of the circuit has got better as the week progressed

JAAT will face competition of KESARI CHAPER 2 on Friday but that can be compensated by the holiday for Good Friday somewhat and then it remains to be seen how it goes over the weekend. Sunday should see good collections as those mass pockets come into play again. The film is the second successful film of 2025 and time will tell if it can go on to have a better verdict though the competition over the next 2-3 weeks will mean less numbers than what it could have achieved if it was an open period.

The eight day business of JAAT is as follows.

Thursday – 9,00,00,000 apprx

Friday – 6,65,00,000 apprx

Saturday – 9,35,00,000 apprx

Sunday – 14,00,00,000 apprx

Monday – 7,25,00,000 apprx

Tuesday – 5,50,00,000 apprx

Wednesday – 3,85,00,000 apprx

Thursday – 4,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 59,60,00,000 apprx

JAAT continued its good run on its second Friday as it collected 3.75 crore nett which is a little drop from the previous day with basically the holiday factor cancelling out the competition of the new release. The film was affected by the release of KESARI CHAPER 2 as areas like Mumbai city and Delhi NCR saw drops. The stronger circuits held at the same level and even improved from the previous day.

The film has collected a total of 63 crore nett so far and continues to do very well in certain mass pockets. But for the bigger centres and multiplexes it needed open week and competition is going to hit business there which can make that HIT status tough though the film is a success. The way the film held up over the weekdays, it should have been having higher numbers in the second weekend.

The business of JAAT is as follows.

Thursday – 9,00,00,000 apprx

Friday – 6,65,00,000 apprx

Saturday – 9,35,00,000 apprx

Sunday – 14,00,00,000 apprx

Monday – 7,25,00,000 apprx

Tuesday – 5,50,00,000 apprx

Wednesday – 3,85,00,000 apprx

Thursday – 4,00,00,000 apprx

Week One – 59,60,00,000 apprx

Friday – 3,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 63,35,00,000 apprx
