HIT 3 Review Movie Talkies:
Director Dr. Sailesh Kolanu completely reinvents the tone and trajectory of the HIT franchise with HIT 3. Originally known for its niche appeal rooted in suspense and mysterious killings, the series has now pivoted towards a more mass-friendly format—especially targeting audiences from tier-2 and tier-3 cities. In doing so, Kolanu essentially sets aside the core essence of the earlier HIT films. And while purists might lament this shift, it’s a calculated move—after all, thrillers with a limited audience rarely make the kind of money needed to sustain a franchise. Remember the viral Marco sensation that took the internet by storm with its raw, brutal action? HIT 3 channels a similar energy—delivering a hybrid that’s unexpectedly well-balanced and ramped up.

HIT 3 Story:
The story follows Arjun Sarkar (played by Nani), a HIT officer who, shockingly, is committing gruesome murders himself—only to then take up the same cases as part of the investigation team. When one of his juniors catches him in the act, Arjun’s dark backstory unfolds, taking us three months back to Kashmir. There, the police are chasing a chilling murder pattern marked by extreme violence. As they close in on a suspect, they discover similar killings occurring in another state. This points to a sinister network operating under a group called KTC, who find a twisted sense of freedom and satisfaction by killing people and extracting non-transplantable organs—a grotesque message embedded in their crimes. Arjun, keen to infiltrate this group, commits murders to get noticed. His strategy works, and he receives an invitation from the gang’s leader. But will Arjun and his team be able to dismantle the KTC network from within?
HIT 3 presents a compelling concept, leaning more into a murder mystery narrative in the first half. Arjun’s character is intense—borderline deranged—and difficult to root for. His volatile nature doesn’t align with the conventional image of a police officer. Still, his brutal methods, wild rage, and relentless killing spree are oddly captivating, thanks to the stylized treatment. At times, the film does feel over-the-top and artificial, but it doesn’t significantly hinder the viewing experience. There’s a generous dose of action, enough suspense, and a series of engrossing conflicts that together deliver a solid thriller. On the softer side, the chemistry between Nani and Srinidhi Shetty adds a welcome romantic angle. While their subplot isn’t flawless, it remains endearing. As a mass entertainer, the plot hits the right notes—even if it deviates from what we expect from a HIT film.

HIT 3 Cast:
Nani unleashes a wild, raw energy in this role. While his previous attempts at massy characters didn’t quite hit the mark, here he nails the part. His aggressive demeanor might come off as grating in dialogue scenes, but it works wonders in the action sequences, lending them a visceral intensity. Srinidhi Shetty looks stunning in the saree she wears in the film’s opening scene—so much so that you’re thankful the director let the moment linger. Sadly, you won’t see her in that look again. Prateik Babbar is a standout—channeling his dark side once more, reminiscent of his villainous role in Sikandar, which didn’t live up to the hype. His turn as a deadly antagonist is spot-on and adds genuine menace to the story. Supporting actors like Samuthirakani, Rao Ramesh, Komalee Prasad, Ravindra Vijay, and Amit Sharma offer decent performances. Meanwhile, the surprise cameos from Adivi Sesh, Maganti Srinath, and Karthi serve up delightful fan service.
HIT 3 Movie Review:
Technically, HIT The Third Case is slick and sharply edited. However, the songs disrupt the pacing—an issue that plagues many commercial action thrillers. That aside, the action scenes are top-notch, designed to thrill mass audiences while still appealing to more discerning viewers. Kolanu deserves credit for breaking internal franchise boundaries and adapting to the commercial demands of cinema today. His earlier HIT films lacked mass appeal, but here he’s crafted a full-on entertainer—boldly veering from the original identity of the franchise. Yet, this transformation feels intentional and honest, not like a compromise or gimmick. In conclusion, HIT 3 might not be as tightly crafted as the original, but it stands taller and packs a greater entertainment punch than its predecessors. Violence meets suspense, HIT meets Marco, twist meets blood. Brutal, engaging, and definitely enjoyable.
