Amitabh Bachchan Breaks Silence, Salutes Army Amid Indo-Pak Tensions

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has finally broken his silence over the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, and the terror attack in Pahalgam that shocked the nation. While several Bollywood celebrities have openly shown their support for the Indian Armed Forces and lauded Operation Sindoor, Bachchan’s silence drew heavy criticism on social media.

However, nearly 20 days after the Pahalgam attack and five days after India’s precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, Big B took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with a powerful and emotional post.

Amitabh Bachhan Breaks SilenceIn his message, Amitabh Bachchan saluted the bravery of the Indian soldiers while also recalling a horrific scene, seemingly referring to an incident involving a terrorist attack on an innocent couple. In the post, he described how the husband was killed despite his wife’s desperate pleas. He then quoted a poetic line from his father, legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

He wrote: “While celebrating the holidays, that monster dragged the innocent couple outside, stripped the husband naked, and after fulfilling his duty, started shooting him. Even after the wife fell on her knees and requested him not to kill her husband, that cowardly monster shot her husband very ruthlessly, making her a widow!! When the wife said, ‘Kill me too!’ The monster said, ‘No! You go and tell your people.’”

Continuing the emotional reflection, Bachchan added: “On the mental state of the daughter, I remembered a line from a poem by Pujya Babuji: ‘The world is asking for vermilion in the ashes of the pyre…’ Then ‘…’ gave her the vermilion!!!”

To conclude his message, Bachchan invoked his iconic dialogue from Agnipath, tying it to the name of the Indian Army’s strike: “OPERATION SINDOOR!!! Jai Hind! Jai Hind ki Sena. Tu na thamega kabhi, tu na mudega kabhi, tu na rukega kabhi, kar shapath, kar shapath… Agni Path! Agni Path! Agni Path!!!”

The post has since gone viral, with fans praising the actor for finally lending his voice in support of the nation’s armed forces. Many said the post was worth the wait — poetic, patriotic, and powerful.
