Filmmaker Priyadarshan got the original cast of Hera Pheri for its third instalment. Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty were to reprise their roles in Hera Pheri 3. However, a few days ago, reports of Paresh Rawal’s exit from the movie shocked all. There were many rumours of the senior actor having creative differences with the filmmaker leading to the decision. However, Paresh Rawal took to his social media to set the record straight and mentioned that his decision to step away from the film was not due to creative differences with anyone. Now, the latest update is that Akshay Kumar has allegedly sued Paresh Rawal over his exit from the film.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar is the producer of Hera Pheri 3. His production house Cape of Good Films has allegedly sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal claiming Rs 25 crores in damages due to ‘unprofessional conduct’ and exiting the film despite signing a legal contract. The portal had a source claiming, “Paresh displayed a blatant disregard for professional integrity or commercial morality. If he wanted to not do the film, he should have said so before signing the legal contract, accepting the signing amount and making the producer spend so much money on the shoot.” Reportedly, Priyadarshan had already begun the shooting of the film with lead stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. However, Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit from the film left the makers in a fix.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Mid-Day, Paresh Rawal spoke about his exit from the film and revealed the actual reason behind his decision. He mentioned that he simply didn’t feel like being a part of Hera Pheri 3 and his decision is final as of now. “I know it came as a shock to many. We three make a great combination with Priyadarshanji directing us, but the fact is that I opted out because today I don’t feel like a part of it. It is final for the time being. I always say never say never for anything. One cannot predict what happens in the future,” he said.
