Now, as per a report by TellyMasala, Smriti Irani is reportedly charging Rs 14 lakh per episode for her return to the most iconic show. The amount is yet to be officially confirmed. Well, if this report is true, then Smriti Irani will become the highest-paid actress on Indian television and will surpass Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly who now holds the title. As per reports, Rupali earns Rs 3-3.5 lakh per episode for her role as Anupamaa in Rajan Shahi’s show. Her estimated net worth is around Rs 20-25 crore.
The production for season 2 is underway and reportedly the shoot is being conducted under Z+ security. Reportedly, strict protocols are followed and there is no mobile phone policy on set to prevent leaks. The makers are trying their level best to preserve the show’s storyline. Fans are eagerly waiting to witness the reunion of Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay as their on-screen chemistry sets the screens on fire. Sources close to the team revealed that the poster shoot has already been completed. The makers are preparing for the promo shoot which is nearing completion. There is no official confirmation on the release date as of now.
The source further informed, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 will be releasing on the exact same date as it released back in 2000, i.e,, on the 3rd of July and it will have the same time slot as well.”
