Smriti Irani shared a picture of her father and penned down an emotional note. She spoke about her father being from the generation that believes ‘hum beti ke ghar ka paani nahi peete’. She wrote, “He is from the generation that says— “Hum beti ke ghar ka paani nahi peete.” And true to his word, he never has. Not a sip of water, let alone a meal I offer to pay for. He is well-read, aware, and lives in a world far removed from the one that raised him— Yet some rules, etched in the marrow of his bones, remain untouched by time.”
