Welcome To The Jungle starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez and many others is expected to release in 2025. However, the latest reports suggest that the film has landed in financial trouble.
After Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar‘s next was supposed to be Welcome To The Jungle. Again a multi-starrer, the movie stars celebs like Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rajpal Yadav and many more. The film is directed by Ahmed Khan. The makers had shared a video to announce the film. However, the latest report suggest that Welcome To The Jungle has hit a roadblock.
Welcome To The Jungle went on floors in December 2023. However, a report in entertainment news portal Pinkvilla, the shooting has been put on hold due to serious money troubles. After shooting a small portion, the movie hasn’t seen any progress as yet. The report states that even the big stars haven’t received the payment as yet. The uncertain situation has led to unpaid dues. The next schedule of Welcome To The Jungle was scheduled for June. However, reportedly the schedule has now been cancelled.
A source informed the portal that over the past 6 months, quite a few schedules of the movie have been cancelled. It has led to confusion between the team. “The actors have been allotting dates for the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle to producer Firoz Nadiadwala, and the same stands cancelled at the last minute due to logistical and financial issues. The last-minute cancellation in shoot has resulted in the actors sitting at home in the aforementioned period,” the source said.
Report adds that 60 percent of Welcome To The Jungle starring Akshay Kumar, Sany Dutt and others is complete and 40 percent is still pending. The film stars 20 actors. Source claims that some of the original cast have left the film while the others are being supportive.
The film was originally planned to release in 2024, however, it got delayed to 2025. Given the latest reports, it remains to be seen if the film is able to release this year or not.
