Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap have often set major couple goals. They have been together for years and have proved to be the strongest couple of Bollywood. In a latest interview, Tahira opened up about the time when her bank balance went down to zero.
Ayushmann Khurrana comes from a humble background. The actor has worked hard to achieve great success, fame and money. His wife Tahira Kashyap has stood by him through thick and thin. She has supported him during his struggle and has been his biggest cheerleader in his success. Recently, Tahira Kashyap’s candid confession about financial struggles hit the internet and made it to the headlines.
In a chat with Official People of India, Tahira Kashyap recalled the time when she moved to Mumbai with Ayushmann Khurrana post their marriage. She revealed that she was always an independent woman and had brought her savings along. She added that she used her savings to buy groceries for home and for a long time, Ayushmann Khurrana did not realise where the food was coming from. Eventually, her savings started depleting. She mentioned that her bank balance almost went down to zero and finally she broke down. She shared, “This boy did not understand how were we getting the food, like how were we buying all of these vegetables, fruits. My bank balance was depleting. I had never asked anyone for money, even my parents.”
Tahira Kashyap then recalled the incident when she got angry at Ayushmann Khurrana and broke down. Once he asked why she hadn’t bought mangoes. She got angry as he hadn’t noticed that she was eating mangoes for two days so that he could eat. She broke down and revealed to him that her bank balance has gone down to zero and that they have been spending her savings for so long. She added, “And then he realised, ‘Why didn’t you ask me for money?’ I said, ‘Because I can’t. You are supposed to buy groceries with me.’ By then he had become a VJ so his journey had started.”
Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap tied the knot in the year 2008. They have two children. Tahira recent made it to the headlines as she revealed that he cancer has relapsed.
