Sardaar Ji 3 has brought a lot of spotlight on Diljit Dosanjh. The actor-singer received a lot of backlash as he collaborated with Pakistani artist Hania Aamir for this one. Diljit Dosanjh left a lot of people miffed who stated that he disrespected the country with this collaboration. After the Pahalgam Terror Attack, a ban was called on Pakistani artistes working in India. Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly too has reacted to the controversy.
Rupali Ganguly miffed with Diljit Dosanjh
Amid the Sardaar Ji 3 controversy, FWICE wrote a letter to the makers of Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming film Border 2 to reconsider his casting in the movie. A letter was reportedly sent to Bhushan Kumar stating that the organisation is ‘disappointed and concerned’ by the casting of Diljit in the movie. Later, rumours had it that the actor has been removed from the film. Now, a post made by Rupali Ganguly has gone viral talking about Border 2 casting. She is miffed with Diljit’s presence in a movie that is a sequel of the film that ‘evoked patriotism among the people’. She further called Diljit an actor fails to recognize his responsibilities toward country. He message read, “Border was a film that evoked deep patriotism among the people of our nation. It’s truly disheartening and frustrating to see an actor in #Border2 who fails to recognize his responsibilities towards the country. Kudos to the makers for showing clarity and conviction by dropping that actor from film.”

Ammy Virk to replace Diljit Dosanjh?
Though Rupali Ganguly wrote that Diljit has been replaced in the movie, there is no official confirmation from the makers. It was being reported that he has been replaced by Ammy Virk in the film but the actor’s team denied the reports and stated that the actor hasn’t been approached for Border 2.
Sardaar Ji 3 released overseas on June 27. The makers chose to skip its India release keeping in mind the sentiments of the citizens.
