Actress Rashami Desai mourned her friend Shefali Jariwala’s death and defended Parag Tyagi from online criticism. Here’s what she said.
Popular actress and model Shefali Jariwala’s sudden demise on Friday night left everyone in deep shock. Her grieving husband, Parag Tyagi, was spotted walking their pet dog, Simbu and his video went viral on social media. Haters trolled and criticized Parag as they questioned whether he was truly affected by his wife’s death. Bigg Boss 13 contestant Rashami Desai, who shared a strong bond with Shefali has come forward to defend Parag.
Rashmi Desai defends Parag Tyagi
On Saturday, Rashami took to Instagram and re-shared the video of Parag walking his dog. She wrote, “Arreee bhaiya, let’s spread kindness and compassion instead of judgment! Simba was more than just a pet – he was Shefali’s beloved son. Her sudden passing leaves a huge void, and I urge the media to respect the family’s grief and give them space during this difficult time. Let’s show empathy and understanding, not sensationalism.”

Shefali and Rashami participated in Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 13. In the video, Parag was seen carrying a photo frame of Shefali and was getting emotional. One user wrote, “Was it necessary to take the dog out?”, another commented saying, “”Why does he look so relaxed?”
Shefali Jariwala’s death
Parag rushed Shefali to the hospital on Friday night and she was declared dead on arrival. A visibly distraught Parag’s video was on social media and then the police officials sent Shefali’s body for a post-mortem to Cooper Hospital.
Shefali was 42 years old when she suffered a cardiac arrest which is said to be the cause of her death. Her mother, Sunita was seen crying inconsolably as she exited the Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in a car.
What did Shefali’s residential security say?
Shatrughan, the watchman of Shefali Jariwala’s residential society, recounted the events that took place on the night of her death. He shared that Shefali was taken to the hospital around 10:30 PM on Friday and he remembered seeing her with her husband casually walking their dog in the compound. He even said that around 9 PM, Parag came to the society on a motorcycle.
