Jeera Puri-Inspired Bagel Bites (Gluten-Free & Easy!)

Love Jeera Puri or Jeera Butter Biscuits? You’re in for a treat! These quick and easy bagel bites take inspiration from the classic tea-time Indian snacks and bring the warm, toasty flavors of cumin and black pepper into a soft, bready bite.

Made with just two main ingredients—almond flour and Greek yogurt—plus a few staple Indian spices, these bagel bites are ready in just 15 minutes! I often whip them up while my chai simmers on the side.

I have been seeing the viral 2-ingredient bagel bites on TikTok and knew I had to try them—but with a desi twist! Instead of regular flour, I reached for almond flour and Greek yogurt, two staples I always have on hand. To bring in the warm, toasty flavors of Jeera Puri and Jeera Butter Biscuits, I added toasted cumin seeds and black pepper—and let me tell you, it was love at first bite!

These little bagel bites have become my go-to chai-time snack—they’re SO satisfying and ready in just 15 minutes, no yeast, no proofing! Perfect for when I’m craving something bread-like with my chai or need a quick snack when friends pop over. They’re so easy to whip up, and everyone always asks for the recipe!

If you enjoy easy, flavor-packed snacks, these are a must-try! Fresh, warm, and made with just a few simple ingredients, these homemade bites are a delicious upgrade from store-bought Indian nashta.

Ingredients

  • Almond Flour – Naturally gluten-free flour that creates a soft, nutty base for these bagel bites. For best results, use super fine almond flour—I recommend the one from Costco.
  • Greek Yogurt – Adds moisture and a slight tang, helping bind the dough without the need for eggs or yeast.
  • Cumin Seeds – Toasted and crushed for a warm, earthy spice that brings the signature Jeera Puri flavor.
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper – Adds a subtle heat that complements the toasted cumin seeds,
  • Kosher Salt – Brings together all the flavors.

How to Make Jeera Puri Bagel Bites

  • Toast the cumin seeds until they’re fragrant and slightly browned. Let them cool, then crush them roughly using a mortar and pestle.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, salt, black pepper, and crushed cumin seeds. Add Greek yogurt and use a silicone spatula to bring the mixture together into a dough.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 F. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each into a smooth ball.
  • Arrange the dough balls in an air fryer basket . Air fry at 330°F for 12–15 minutes (12 minutes worked perfectly for me).

Serving

Enjoy these Jeera Puri-inspired bagel bites with a hot cup of Masala Chai or coffee for the perfect afternoon treat! Spread with ghee or butter for an extra indulgent bite or pair with green chutney for a spicy kick. They also make a great addition to your breakfast spread or a quick, satisfying snack anytime you need one.

Storing

Allow the bagel bites to completely cool down. Store at room temperature for 1 to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week. If they soften up, just pop them in the air fryer at 350°F for 2 minutes to refresh their texture. They’ll be warm and delicious again in no time.
