Both EVs have been stacked against each other, considering the similarity in their prices, size and most importantly powertrain nature. Prices of the Mahindra’s electric EV start from Rs 18.90 lakh for the base Pack 1 variant with 59kWh battery pack and go up to Rs 26.90 lakh top-end Pack 3 trim with 79kWh battery. The larger battery pack is exclusively offered with the top trim, while the rest variants get the smaller 59kWh battery.
The Hyundai Creta Electric comes in five trims – Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium and Excellence – priced from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 23.50 lakh. The Smart (O) and Excellence variants are available with the 51.4kWH battery, while the Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium and Excellence LR are offered with the 42kWh battery pack.

The Mahindra BE6 is being offered with the 59kWh and 79kWh battery options, delivering power worth 231bhp and 286bhp, respectively. The torque output is 380Nm for both. The RWD (rear-wheel drive) comes as standard. Mahindra claims that the BE6 with smaller and bigger battery return an ARAI-claimed range of 556km and 682km, respectively. The higher-spec version of the EV accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 6.7 seconds.
Battery capacities of the Creta Electric are relatively less than the BE6. Hyundai’s EV comes with the 42kWh and 51.4kWh (Long Range – LR) battery pack options, offering an ARAI-certified range of 390km and 473km, respectively. The EV’s LR version does 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds. Its power and torque outputs stand at 171bhp and 255Nm, respectively.
Mahindra BE 6 Vs Hyundai Creta EV: Charging Time
Mahindra claims that both batteries of the BE6 take just 20 minutes to get charge from 20 to 80 percent using a 175kW DC fast charger. The standard 11.2kW AC and 7.3kW AC chargers can fully juice up the 79kWh and 59kWh batteries in 8 hours/6 hours and 11.7 hours/8.7 hours, respectively.
Hyundai says that the Creta Electric’s battery takes 58 minutes to get charge from 10 to 80 percent using a DC fast charger and 4.5 hours from 0 to 100 percent using an 11kW AC home charger.
