With a starting price of ₹65.9 lakh (ex-showroom), Kia has introduced the facelifted version of one of its best-selling models, namely the EV6 electric vehicle, in India. Some of the updates included in this fresh addition are a bigger and more efficient battery, a redesigned body, and a revamped interior. The EV6 is totally worth it, but with this facelift, it is available in India only in the form of an AWD GT-Line variant. It offers much better performance, range, and charging potential, making it quite a tempting choice for those interested in electric vehicles.

  1. Larger and Better Battery: One of the major upgrades in facelifted Kia EV6. It is made lighter with the help of nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistry without compromising the capacity for driving range improvement.

  3. Faster Charging: The Kia EV6 facelift features bandwidths of more than 350 kW DC fast charge connection for faster charging. A battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. Thus, a time-consuming endeavor has been cut down so that you can set off again without delay. However, on a slower 50kW DC charger, it would take longer to charge: 73 minutes.

All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Powertrain: Dual motor millions of working machines like the facelifted Kia EV6, and these two-motor setups allow for both the front and rear motors to make an all-wheel-drive vehicle, combined power output of the motors 325 horsepower 605Nm torque allows the vehicle to cover distance from 0-100kmp in just 5.3seconds, slightly slower than pre-facelift version by just 0.1 seconds.
  5. Design and Exterior Updates: The facelifted EV6 has had an exterior upgrade with updated bumpers and a new Star Map frontlight design with a new LED light bar spanning between the headlights. All these alterations add a lot to the futuristic and fashionable aspect of the EV6. The 19-inch alloys have changed in the design itself and this too brings the car to life in modernity.

Kia EV6 Facelift Updates on Interior and Features 

All the areas of improvement are in making this interior best suited for the driving experience. The three-spoke redesigned steering wheel, with a dedicated drive mode button, is the most easily noticeable improvement. The drivers can now easily select from different drive modes. For additional convenience and security, Kia adds fingerprint recognition to start the vehicle for registered drivers without the need for a physical key. The black piano touch of the now-old console is replaced by one with noticeable texturing, so often bearing fingerprints. The dashboard still retains the distinct curved panoramic screen incorporating the two 12.3-inch displays—one for instrument cluster and the other for infotainment system. Entry-level RWD and top-spec GT variants are available in international markets, but they are currently not offered in India.
