In this post, we are able to experience a real-life walkaround tour of the Mahindra XEV 9e Pack 3. This is the top-of-the-line variant with all the bells and whistles. The XEV 9e is a part of the latest breed of EVs from the Indian automobile giant which uses the bespoke INGLO platform. For its latest and upcoming EVs, Mahindra has created two sub-brands – XEV and BE. In the coming couple of years, we will see around 5-6 electric models. For now, let us take a look at the details of what the top trim of the flagship SUV from Mahindra entails.

At the front, it boasts a connected LED strip which runs across the width of the SUV along with an illuminated logo and 7-shaped LED DRLs on the extreme edges. On the sides, the DRLs encapsulate vertically positioned LED headlamps with a broad section in between with a distinct pattern. On the sides, there are massive 19-inch alloy wheels with colossal wheel arches and a sloping roofline for that coupe silhouette. The glossy black cladding on door panels accentuates the premium vibe and so do the flush-fitting door handles. Finally, at the rear, we see the connected taillamps with LED light strips, extended boot lid, illuminated logo and a sporty bumper with a skid plate.

On the inside, the list of amenities is rather long. Also, the SUV possesses high-quality materials and the luxury layout reminds you of high-end vehicles. Apart from that, even the tech, connectivity and computing power are incredible. However, the main attraction has to be the 3 screens on the dashboard including a digital instrument cluster, an infotainment display and a passenger-side screen. The Mahindra XEV 9e Pack 3 is the top trim with the biggest battery pack in the lineup at 79 kWh. The other variants use a 59 kWh battery pack. Mahindra claims a driving range of 656 km and 542 km, respectively, on a single charge. The power and torque figures range from 286 hp and 380 Nm with the larger battery to 231 hp and 380 Nm with the smaller unit. With a 175 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be juiced up from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. In the most aggressive settings, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h comes up in just 6.8 seconds. The prices range from Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
