Maruti e Vitara – April
Based on the skateboard Heatect-e platform, the Maruti e Vitara will be available with two battery packs – 49kWh and 61kWh – paired to the front-axle mounted 143bhp and 173bhp motors, respectively. The carmaker has confirmed that the electric SUV will promise an MIDC-rated range of over 500km with the larger battery pack. Under Maruti Suzuki’s new ‘e for Me’ program, the company will establish fast chargers across top 100 cities, over 1,500 EV-specific service centres in over 1,000 cities and a dedicated charging app.
MG Windsor EV Long-Range – April
The MG Windsor EV Long-Range version is ready hit showrooms in April 2025. Its official details are yet to be revealed, but it’s likely to share a 50kWh lithium-ion battery pack with the global-spec MG ZS EV. This version will deliver a claimed range of 460km. This larger battery can be juiced up from 0 to 80 percent in 46 minutes by using a 50kW DC fast charger and in 16 hours by using a standard AC charger. No other changes are expected.
Tata Harrier EV – April
The Tata Harrier EV will be built on the brand’s Gen 2 Acti.ev architecture and come with the AWD drivetrain system. The exact performance figures are yet to be announced. However, this electric SUV is claimed to offer a maximum torque of 500Nm. It could be made available with two battery pack options, delivering a range of over 500km. Compared to its ICE version, the Harrier EV will look slightly different with EV-specific design elements inside and out.
MG Cyberster – April
The MG Cyberster will be the most affordable sports car in India, with an estimated price of Rs 50 lakh – Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). The model comes with a 77kWh battery and a dual electric motor, paired with an AWD system. This configuration delivers a maximum power of 510bhp and 725Nm of torque. MG’s new electric sports car offers a claimed range of 580km (CLTC). Some of its highlights are scissor doors, dual 7-inch screens, ADAS suite, a 360 degree camera, wireless smartphone connectivity and more.
MG M9 – April
Following the Cyberster, the MG M9 will be the brands second exclusive MG Select product. It’s an electric luxury MPV, which is estimated to be priced around Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The M9 uses a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a front-axle mounted electric motor, offering a WLTP range of 430km. It comes with an 8-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. As a luxurious MPV, the M9 offers several advanced features such as twin sunroofs, rear entertainment screens, powered rear sliding doors, powered front and rear seats with heading, ventilation and massage function, Nappa leather seat upholstery and more.
Kia EV6 Facelift – June
The 2025 Kia EV6 facelift with a larger battery pack, improved design and more features was showcased at this year’s Bharat Mobility Show. The electric SUV now has an 84kWh battery pack, returning a claimed power of 229bhp with 350Nm (RWD version) and 325bhp with 605Nm (AWD version). Kia claims that the updated EV6 RWD and AWD variants offer a claimed range of494km and 461km, respectively. It can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes via a 350kW DC fast charger.
Kia Carens EV – June
The Kia Carens EV is expected to borrow a 42kWh battery pack and a 135bhp electric motor from the Hyundai Creta Electric. The latter, with this setup, delivers a claimed ARAI range of 390km on a single charge. The electric compact MPV could get the Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, new seat upholstery and a few extra features over the regular Carens. Some design changes are also expected such as a closed-off grille, new LED headlamps and DRLs, aero-optimized alloy wheels and front fender mounted charging port at the front.
