2026 Hyundai Palisade debuts with XRT PRO

Hyundai took the wraps off the second-gen Palisade for the North American market recently. ICE models are set to arrive at Hyundai dealers in early summer, with hybrid models scheduled to go on sale early fall. The variants include the first-ever Palisade XRT PRO.

The new Palisade adopts a boxy styling with angular lines throughout. The front fascia is dominated by vertically-stacked LED running lights, and the same is mimicked at the rear. The actual headlights are cleverly concealed within the dark panel next to the grille. In addition to that massive stack of LED running lights, there’s a strip on the grille. At the rear, the roof spoiler houses a light strip. Depending on the variant, the Palisade is available with up to 21-inch wheels. The color palette includes 10 options: Abyss Black Pearl, Typhoon Silver Metallic, Creamy White Pearl, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, Cast Iron Brown Pearl, Galaxy Maroon Pearl, Titan Charcoal Pearl, Classy Blue Pearl, Robust Emerald Pearl, and Earthy Brass Matte.

The new Palisade doesn’t just look visually bigger, but it has actually grown in size. The overall length is up by 2.5-inches, resulting in an extra wheelbase of 2.7-inches or about 70 mm.

The Palisade XRT PRO has its own key highlights. These include 8.4-inches of ground clearance (+1 inch vs non-XRT PRO models), improved approach (20.5°), departure (22.4°), and breakover (18.3°) angles, 255/60 R18 all-terrain tires, standard HTRAC AWD system, exclusive electronic rear limited-slip differential (eLSD), OEM tow hitch, Tow Mode, Surround View Monitor (with forward ground view), and real-time pitch and roll, compass, and elevation displays.

The new Palisade is available with petrol and petrol-electric hybrid options. The non-hybrid is a 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 with 214 kW (291 metric hp/287 bhp) and 353 Nm (260 lb-ft), paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. FWD and AWD options are available.

The hybrid combines a 2.5L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine and two electric motors integrated into the 6-speed automatic transmission. Of those two motors, one is a starter-generator, while the other is for propulsion and regenerative braking. The combined figures are 246 kW (334 metric hp/330 bhp) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft).

Seems like Hyundai is offering a 207 kW (281 metric hp) 2.5L 4-cylinder turbo petrol option as well in its home market.

Key highlights on the inside include two 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, built-in dual-camera Dash Cam, first- and second-row Relaxation seats, 100-watt-capable USB-C ports, 14-speaker Bose audio system (standard for XRT PRO), and Hyundai SmartSense suite of active- and passive safety systems.
