Maruti Suzuki is readying the Fronx facelift with its self-developed strong-hybrid powertrain setup which is said to deliver mileage of 35+ kmpl. It has been spotted testing multiple times and sources have revealed that it will debut by early 2026 in the Indian market. The Fronx facelift will be the first Maruti car to get the newly-developed strong hybrid system with the likes of Baleno, Brezza and Swift following suit later. The facelifted version is expected to come with subtle visual updates while ADAS tech is also going to be offered in the higher variants.

Mahindra is going a step ahead to expand its EV portfolio by launching the all-electric version of the XUV 3XO in our country. It has been spied as a test mule several times with minimal camouflage which indicates very few cosmetic updates. To be positioned below the XUV4OO, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV will be equipped with a 35 kWh battery pack to achieve a range of 350+ km on a single charge. It will be squarely aimed at Tata Nexon EV while priced in a bracket of Rs 15-20 lakh (ex-showroom) as it hits the roads in the later half of 2025.

Tata Punch was the highest-selling car in India in 2024. Tata Motors is leaving no stone unturned to keep the momentum going and maintain the same appeal for the SUV by introducing a facelifted version with never-seen-before features. The home-grown automaker is planning to launch the 2025 Pune facelift around Aug with bells and whistles like Rear AC vents, Type-C fast charging ports, Wireless charging, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. There are no mechanical changes reported as the SUV will continue with the 1.2L petrol mill with manual and automatic gearbox options.

5. Renault Kiger Facelift

The 2025 Kiger was spotted earlier this year for the first time and it is believed to launch in the coming couple of months in India. The exterior and cabin updates will not be comprehensive in nature as we saw with the Nissan Magnite facelift, which went on sale last year. The company could include a few advanced features while re-jigging the variant line-up. Mechanically, it will continue to carry the 1.0L naturally-aspirated and 1.0L turbocharged petrol engines with 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
