Hello People !
Hope y’all are doing Good …
So it’s Review Time and I’m back with this very interesting Facial Serum from St. Botanica Retinol Professional Serum.
Now firstly, All of us have a lot of questions when it comes to facial serums like, are they moisturizers ? so when you’ve applied a serum should you quit using moisturizer ? is it essence serum ? is it like a facial oil and so many more ….
Adding things to our skin care regime should be a fun thing to do and should not stress you out. So take a seat back and read through today’s post to know more about facial serums and definitely Retinol Facial Serum ..
What exactly does the serum do ?
Serum is basically applied right after cleansing and before moisturizing so that it penetrates deep into the skin and delivers a high concentration of active ingredients. It helps us target the most common concerns.
Yes, you’ve got to moisturize post using a serum because the face lotions then work as a protective shield to keep all the active ingredients locked in.
Difference between Facial oil and Serum is that, serums are basically meant for specific concerns where as oils are intended to moisturize.
Time For The Review !
St. Botanica Retinol 2.5% E & Hyaluronic Acid worked quite well for my skin to retain its moisture and prevent fine lines to occur. It’s extremely lightweight and does not have any specific Fragrance, which means it could work for a sensitive skin as well. (P.s. Even I have an extremely sensitive skin).
What is Hyaluronic acid ?
The Acid word in it shouldn’t worry you. In fact, it’s a gel-like water based molecule that helps retain the moisture, keeping the skin healthy, hydrated and happy.
Scientific studies have shown that Hyaluronic Acid helps improve skin hydration and production of collagen, fight free radicals, maintain skin elasticity, and even has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help with wound healing. So its a definite YES !
