The bond between a mother and her daughter is always special. A girl always looks up to her mother for support, encouragement and inspiration. On the other hand, a mother always tries to ensure her daughter can do everything she couldn’t do. But that’s not the case with everyone, as recently, a new video of a mother-daughter duo from Haryana’s Hisar region made headlines. Unlike unconditional love, it showed an ugly side of the relationship as the daughter, Rita, was seen biting and beating her mom. Here’s why.
Haryana woman bites, beats and slaps her mom in a viral video
A new video that is making rounds online showcases a woman identified as Rita, assaulting her mother, Nirmala Devi. The setting in the video is supposedly from inside their home where the younger woman, perceived as the daughter, dressed in a casual T-shirt, thrashes her mother. She bites and beats her while the elder one, her mother, tries to evade it. She slapped her and yelled, “Will you live forever? You are forcing me to do this.” Nirmala Devi, dressed in a kurta pyjama, seeks mercy while crying over the attack. While harming her mother, she continues to say:
“I will drink your blood.”
According to a report by NDTV, the women are from Modern Saket Colony in Haryana’s Hisar district, and the daughter was causing physical and mental harm to her mother because she wanted a piece of her wealth. After the video went viral, several meme pages, activities and influencers re-shared the video and urged the authorities to take strict action. Peepoye Network’s founder, Akassh Ashok Gupta, shared the video on his X handle and tagged Haryana Police, NCW (National Commission for Women) and DGP Haryana Police to intervene in the serious case.
Rita’s brother, Amardeep Singh, filed a complaint against her for assaulting their mother.
After the video went viral, Rita’s brother, Amardeep Singh, filed a police complaint against her. He was accused of keeping their mother captive and assaulting her. Moreover, NDTV reported that Inspector Sadhuram, the station head officer of Azad Nagar Police Station, confirmed that a complaint had been registered in the case. It’s filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita and the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
Amardeep Singh revealed that his sister, Rita, tied the knot with Sanjay Punia, who lives in a village near the Rajgarh area, two years ago. However, rather than focusing on her married life, she returned and began to harass their mother. Moreover, she called her husband back to stay with them. He alleged that his sister sold one of their mom’s assets in Kurukshetra for Rs. 65 lakh and is harassing her mother to get the property transferred in her name, and he wasn’t allowed by her to visit his mother
