Shine Tom Chacko is a renowned name in the Malayalam film industry, and he has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons at the moment. The 41-year-old actor needs no formal introduction, as he has worked on a series of memorable films in Mollywood that speaks volumes about his acting prowess. In 2022, Shine Tom Chacko made his acting debut in the Tamil film industry with the film, Beast, starring Thalapathy Vijay. In the following year, he entered Tollywood with the movie, Dasara, and once again, Tom Chacko showcased his acting prowess on the big screen.
Shine Tom Chacko And Vincy Aloshious’ controversy: Malayalam actress accused ‘Dasara’ actor of sexual misconduct and drug usage
The Malayalam actor, Shine Tom Chacko, was going through the most promising phase of his acting career until April 16, 2025. With projects like Aaraam Thirukalpana, Velleppam, and Paradise Circus already in his pocket, Tom Chacko was riding high on the professional front. Unfortunately, on April 17, 2025, popular Malayalam actress, Vincy Aloshious accused Shine Tom Chacko of sexual misconduct and allegedly being under the influence of drugs.
For the uninitiated, Shine Tom Chacko and Vincy Aloshious were working together in the film, Soothravakyam, when the former allegedly misbehaved with the actress. Before filing a formal complaint against Tom Chacko, Vincy posted a video in which she shared everything that had happened on the sets of her upcoming film, Soothravakyam. Vincy shared that Tom Chacko made sexually explicit comments towards her in front of the entire cast and crew of the film. She said:
“He (Shine Tom Chacko) made sexually explicit comments and behaved in an inappropriate manner towards me and a female colleague on the set.”
Furthermore, in the same video, Vincy Aloshious mentioned that she was adjusting her outfit, and Shine Tom Chacko offered to help, which made her feel uncomfortable. The actress revealed that she informed the film’s director about Tom Chacko’s sexual misconduct, and the filmmaker warned the actor not to repeat it again. She said:
“I continued with the movie and did not press the complaint as the film should not be wound up half-way. He said, ‘I’ll fix it for you,’ in front of the crew when I had an issue with my costume. It was humiliating. My complaint is not against the movie or its crew, but against the actor.”
Furthermore, in the same video, Vincy Aloshious also made a groundbreaking revelation, sharing that Shine Tom Chacko used to spit white powder from his mouth during the film’s rehearsals. The drug usage accusation has taken the entire Malayalam industry by storm. For the uninitiated, Tom Chacko has already been accused in the 2015 drug case but was later acquitted by Ernakulam additional sessions court due to some lapses in the investigation report. Coming back to Vincy’s revelation, she said:
“He (Shine Tom Chacko) was also spitting a white powder from his mouth when the rehearsal for a scene was on. It was evident that he was using drugs on the set.”

Soon after Vincy Aloshious’ video went viral, Kerala Film Chamber’s general secretary, Saji Nanthyatt, strongly commented on the entire controversy. He clearly stated that strict action would be taken against Shine Tom Chacko. Not only this but when the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force of the Kerala police reached the Kochi hotel where he was staying, the actor escaped from the third floor through a window. The actor is currently out of reach, and things are getting ugly.

Shine Tom Chacko was married to Thabeetha Mathew, and they have a son named Siyal. However, the couple is no longer together and Thabeetha is raising their son alone. In an old candid interview, Shine Tom Chacko revealed that he always prioritises his acting career above everything else. He admitted that he failed to make a bond with his parents, brother, and wife, and the sole reason behind this is his passion for films.
The Malayalam actor admitted that he never prioritised his ex-wife, Thabeetha Mathew, above his work and due to this, he was unable to maintain his marriage. In another interview, Tom Chacko confirmed that he no longer meets his son, Siyal, because he doesn’t want him to hang between his father and mother, who are no longer together. Sharing his philosophy about the same, he said:
“He (is happy now). Has no connections with them. If separated, it is better for the children to grow from one side. If stayed here for ten days and there for ten days, then he or she will grow listening to the faults of both sides. Won’t the child be upset? Now it is enough to hear from one side only. I am not disappointed. All are living happily.”
