Hema Malini reveals that Manoj Kumar was the actual director of Sanyasi, Dus Numbri, and Santosh –

Hema Malini’s revelation about Manoj Kumar:

The legendary actor, producer, and director, Manoj Kumar ji, passed away yesterday, and his final rites were performed today in Mumbai. As we all know, Hema Malini and Manoj Kumar formed a superhit pair in the 70s and 80s. The two first starred together in Sanyasi (1975), directed by Sohanlal Kanwar. The next year, they again came together for Dus Numbri (1976), which was directed by Madan Mohla. Both films were big hits, and then they collaborated in Kranti (1981), directed by Kumar himself, which went on to become the biggest hit of the decade. The last film they did together was Santosh (1989), helmed by Balbir Wadhawan.

As you can see, only one of those films was directed by Manoj ji, while the other three were directed by three different directors. However, Hema ji has just made a surprising revelation that Kumar directed all these four films.

Legendary Manoj Kumar No More; A Look at his TOP 5 BEST MOVIES –

Hema Malini wrote a long note in memory of the late actor on her social media handle. Read it below.

Manoj Kumar is no more. Wonderful, warm, friendly person with whom I had the opportunity to work in 4 big films all under his direction – Sanyasi, Dus Numbri, Kranti and Santosh. Evergreen movies all made with a unique touch of inimitable class. Those days the directors were passionate about their work and each left indelible memories behind. Manoj Kumar, known as Bharat for the touch of patriotism in all his movies, was truly unique in his approach to film making. He was very fond of me and took great care to get the best angles in all the scenes. His films had mass appeal – they were aesthetic, interesting with excellent narratives and dialogues that people loved. I had a personal equation with both Manoj and his wife Shashi ji as they were also my neighbours across the street. With a deep sigh I can only say “Those were the days” when wonderful directors made fabulous films that can never get outdated. Manoj Kumar has his unique place amongst them.

Farewell dear friend!🙏❤️

In the reply section, a person pointed out that only Kranthi was directed by Manoj ji and the rest three films were directed by other directors. Responding to the tweet, the Dream Girl actress shared it was Manoj Kumar who directed all these films as he would oversee every shot.

“Except Kranti which was directed by Manoj ji.. Hema ji.Rest were directed by Sohanlal Kanwar, Madan Mohla and Balbir Wadhwan How can Dream Girl make this blunder? Is Alzeheimer setting in Hema ji?” wrote a user.

Hema ji replied, “I acted with him in those movies and I should know! Though there were three other directors, the actual director of all the four films was indeed Manoj Kumar himself. He would oversee each and every shot!”
