Hania Aamir is a prominent Pakistani actress who is known for her impressive acting skills, beauty, grace and fun personality. Known for her work in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha, Mere Humsafar, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and more, she received immense popularity in India after her social media dance videos on Bollywood songs surfaced on the internet. At the same time, her positive approach towards India and Indian celebrities used to be admired by fans. However, after the Pahalgam attack shook the nation, the government banned the social media of various Pakistani artists, including her. Amid this, a fake statement on incident blaming the Pakistani army went viral under her name. As a result, Hania has now shared her reaction to it.
Hania Aamir breaks silence on her fake statement, which surfaced on the internet
Hania Aamir earlier condemned the Pahalgam attack, and later her account was banned and Indian users couldn’t get access to it. A few hours later, a fabricated Instagram story post went viral under her name. It blamed the Pakistani army for the attack in Pahalgam, and netizens from both sides of the border were stunned to see the post. When it created a stir, Hania broke her silence on the viral post through her verified Instagram story. She confirmed that the alleged statement was fake and she would not take any side or speak against the other on the matter. She penned:
“Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and is being widely circulated on social media. I want to address this directly: I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me. It is entirely fabricated and misrepresents who I am and what I believe.”
Hania Aamir added that it’s a sensitive and emotional time after the Pahalgam attack, where innocent lives were lost and families were left devastated. She mentioned that people need to showcase empathy over it rather than making it a political matter. She said:
“This is a deeply sensitive and emotional time. My heart goes out to the innocent lives lost and the families affected by the recent tragedy. Pain like this is real, and it deserves empathy, not politicisation. The actions of extremists do not represent an entire nation or its people. Assigning blame without proof only deepens divides and distracts from the real need for compassion, justice and healing. I remain committed to spreading positivity and respect in all that I do.”
Pakistani artists’ IG accounts were banned in India following the Pahalgam attack
The Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025, shook the country to its core. Every citizen has been shocked over the killing of 26 innocent Indian lives who came to explore the Baisaran Valley. To take strict action against the incident, a strict five-action plan was taken by India against Pakistan. Among other measures, accounts of many Pakistani artists like Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Sajal Aly, Ali Zafar and others were banned. However, accounts of artists like Fawad Khan and Atif Aslam can be seen in India.
