Randeep Rai calls Rupali Ganguly ‘powerhouse performer’, talks about his off-screen bond with Shivam Khajuria [Exclusive]

Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa has been the most loved TV serial. The show took a leap few months back and the story changed completely. Anu’s life has changed and does not have Anuj Kapadia with her anymore. Her life now revolves around her daughter, Rahi. Rahi married Prem and we have the Kothari family in her life now. She also met Raghav who has a very controversial past with the Kotharis. We also saw the entry of Aryan Kothari. With this new chapter, many new actors joint the show.

Shivam Khajuria, Adrija Roy, Spreha Chatterjee, Krutika Desai, Rahil Azam, Alka Kaushal, Zalak Desai, Manish Goel, Randeep Rai and others entered Anupamaa. Randeep is seen as Aryan Kothari in the show. He is Parag and Khyati’s son. Khyati had kept him away so that she can look after Prem and Prarthana well.

Randeep on playing Aryan

Aryan Kothari is very different and layered character. Randeep Rai has opened up about this complex role. He spoke to BollywoodLife and said, “Playing Aryan has been a very enriching experience. He’s not a typical one-dimensional character — he has his own struggles, insecurities, and emotional baggage. I love roles that challenge me as an actor, and Aryan gave me a chance to tap into a very real, vulnerable space. Every scene makes me think about how he’d react differently from what we might expect, and that’s very exciting for an actor.”

Randeep talks about his bond with costars

He further spoke about his bond with Rupali Ganguly, Adrija Roy and Shivam Khajuria. He said, “It’s been wonderful. Rupali ma’am is such a powerhouse performer and extremely warm once you get to know her. Shivam and I hit it off immediately — we have a very easygoing bond on and off set. Adrija is very hardworking and focused, and everyone in the cast actually brings a lot of positivity to the table. Working with such talented people only pushes you to do better.” This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.

Randeep and Shivam became very good friends. The actors have even expressed how special their bond is. Now, Randeep has shared more about his friendship with Shivam. He shared, “(Laughs) Yes, Shivam and I really vibe well. He’s a great co-star and a genuine person. We pull each other’s legs all the time, and those little moments of laughter really help on long shoot days. I wouldn’t pick one favourite though — I’ve built a different, special rapport with many of my co-actors. But yes, Shivam and I definitely have a fun bro bond!”
