The situation at the border grew tense after the Indian Armed Forces carried out Operation Sindoor. It was after the horrifying Pahalgam Terror attack that the Indian Armed Forces targeted terror camps in the neighbouring country. The conflict between India and Pakistan escalated in no time. However, yesterday, reports emerged that both the countries have agreed for ceasefire. Many celebrities took to social media to comment on the same. Salman Khan was one of them. However, the actor received major backlash on social media, so much so, that he had to delete the post.

Salman Khan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote “Thank God for the ceasefire.” However, he later deleted the post. The Sikandar star got slammed for commenting on ceasefire but keeping mum on Operation Sindoor. One of the comments read, “#salmankhan ka fan tha 15 saal se, but Aaj nafrat ho gayi hai es insaan se had se jadda. Jab war chal rahi thi ek b tweet nhi aaya Jaise pata chala war khthm tweet aa geya or jab dubara start hoi tweet delete kr diya fattu insaan hai yeh. Desh se pehle kuch nahi Jai Hind.” Many questioned why he made no post appreciating Operation Sindoor. In fact, many even dragged in stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and others and questioned their silence over the same.

However, the die-hard fans of Salman Khan also came out in support of him. One of the fans wrote, “Whats wrong with people? Why abuse #SalmanKhan over one tweet? He chose peace over war-isn’t tht what civilians want? The Indian govt chose to agree to a ceasefire bt I dnt see people criticizing the PM for choosing peace. kuch kaam hai nhi bas X pe baith ke abuse krwa lo. Losers.”
