Aishwarya Rai and the Bachchan family have been living under the public eye for a while now. Aishwarya and Abhishek’s alleged divorce rumours raised many eyebrows, questioning their bond after years of marriage. Many believe the relationship between Aishwarya and her mother-in-law, Jaya Bachchan, was never successful. As per claims, the two never clicked along with each other, and this was one of the reasons for Abhishek and Aishwarya’s separation. In 2007, Jaya Bachchan stood up to welcome Aishwarya Rai into the Bachchan family ahead of her wedding with Abhishek Bachchan. Jaya grabbed the opportunity to praise Miss World at the Filmfare Awards.

During her Koffee with Karan show, Jaya was asked whether Aishwarya is perfect to fit in the family, to which Jaya Bachchan replied, “I think so. I think it’s wonderful because she is such a big star herself. But when we all are together, I have never ever seen her push herself. I like that quality, that she stands behind, she’s quiet, she listens, and she’s taking it all in. Another beautiful thing is she’s fitted in so well.”
