Housefull 5 starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead is making waves at the box office. The movie is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It released on June 6 and within two days, the movie has left a mark at the box office within just two days. As per the reports, the movie has already crossed the mark of Rs 50 crore. It has also surpassed the lifetime collection of many of the Bollywood movies that released this year.
As per a report in Sacnilk.com, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 has made around Rs 54 crore approximately in two days. On the first day, the movie made around Rs 24 crore. The second day collection of the film is about Rs 30 crore. Thus, the total collection is Rs 54 crore in just two days. The movie has surpassed the collection of many big movies that released this year including – Azaad, Emergency, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Fateh, Loveyapa, Chidiyaa, Superboys of Malegaon, Crazxy, Badass Ravikumar, Kapkapiii, Kesari Veer, Phule, Diplomat and Deva.
Housefull 5 has taken a good start at the box office but it is yet to beat the records set by the big films like Chaava, Jaat, Sikadar and more. Vicky Kaushal’s movie Chaava remains to be the highest grossing movie of 2025 so far. The film made around Rs 604.1 crore in India. The Worldwide Gross collection of the film was beyond Rs 800 crore. Salman Khan’s movie Sikandar, even though a flop, it made around Rs 108.7 crore in India. Sunny Deol’s action drama Jaat made domestic collection of Rs 88.65 crore.
Akshay Kumar’s comic caper is entertaining the masses and is expected to perform well over the first weekend. It remains to be seen though if the movie is able to cross the mark of Rs 100 crore over the first weekend. The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, and many more. It also has a cameo by Bobby Deol.
