This South Indian superstar, known for delivering pan-India hits like Pushpa, has reportedly been ousted from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. The reports come weeks after Deepika Padukone was removed from Vanga’s film.
In a recent report from Siasat.com, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has reportedly been ousted from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit. The Telugu superstar was recently signed by the Animal-famed director for his film. However, some insider reports claim that the film has been put on hold now since Allu Arjun has been removed from it. While there has been no official confirmation of Allu Arjun being removed from the film, the director has not given any official confirmation of this. Some reports also claim that Jr. NTR is likely to replace Allu Arjun in the upcoming film.
Interestingly enough, this report surfaced weeks after Sandeep Reddy Vanga had an outburst on social media after Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was removed from the Prabhas-starrer film. For the unversed, the whole entertainment industry is currently divided on the norm of an 8-hour work week. The debate about 8-hour work shifts in Bollywood gained traction after Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone walked out of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Spirit due to demands that included working 6-hour shifts due to a newborn baby at home. Vanga reacted strongly to her demands, calling her behavior “unprofessional” and posting about it on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
The Kabir Singh director wrote, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There’s an unsaid NDA between us. But by doing this, you’ve ‘disclosed’ the person that you are… Putting down a younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft, and for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it.” Deepika Padukone has since been replaced by Tripti Dimri in Vanga’s upcoming project.
