The Tamil Nadu Directorate of General Education (TNDGE) announced the results for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC, Class 10th) and Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSE, Class 11th) public examinations on Friday, May 16.
Tamil Nadu’s Minister for School Education, Anbil Mahesh, tweeted about the results’ release and said that Chief Minister MK Stalin and Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin have extended their greetings.
“We wish all students success in choosing fields aligned with their talents and achieving victory in life,” he added.
However, Anbil said that the link for the Class 11 students’ results will be activated around 2 PM.
He told media that the pass percentage has increased by 2.55% in Class 10 and 0.47% in Class 12 compared to last year.
“I would like to thank our Chief Minister, who is also our ‘headmaster’, we are running this school under his guidance. A special thanks to all our teachers; without their dedication, this achievement would not have been possible.”
TN SSLC result OUT
The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, said 93.80% of the nearly 9 lakh students who appeared for Class 10 SSLC Board Exams 2025 passed, indicating a strong overall performance statewide.
This pass percentage shows a slight improvement over last year, highlighting steady academic progress across various districts.
Girls once again outperformed boys, with an incredible pass percentage of 95.88%, as 4,17,183 girls passed the Class 10 exam. On the other hand, Boys saw a pass percentage of 91.74%, with 4,00,078 boys passing the examination. A total of 8,17,261 have successfully cleared.
TN SSLC exams had commenced on March 28 and concluded on April 15.
12k+ schools wrote SSLC exam
This year, 12,485 schools wrote the 10th grade public examination, 7,555 of which were secondary schools and 4,930 of which were high schools.
Pass percentage increased this year
In March/April 2024 public examination, the number of students who appeared for the examination was 8,94,264. The pass percentage was 91.55%.
When will the link for HSE +1 Result be activated?
The download link for the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSE, Class 11th) public examination will be activated at 2:00 PM today.
Around 8 lakh students appeared for the Class 11 (HSE +1) exams this year, which were held between March 5 and March 27.

Step 4: Click on ‘Get marks’
Step 5: Check and download digital marksheet, take a printout and keep the hard copy for future reference.

TN SSLC 10th Result OUT Live: Girls’ schools have passed 7.52% more than boys’ schools, and co-ed schools have passed 6.22% more than boys’ schools.
