Anticipation was sky-high among Xikers fans as the group prepared to embark on their first-ever Asia tour, 2025 Xikers WORLD TOUR: TRICKY HOUSE: FIRST ENCOUNTER. The tour, announced with much fanfare in late December, was scheduled to take the group to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Macau and Jakarta, with the opening concert set for January 17 in Bangkok. But just a day before the first performance, fans were blindsided by a shocking announcement: the entire tour was cancelled. On January 16, KQ Entertainment reportedly released an official statement, citing “unavoidable circumstances, including visa-related issues and local conditions,” as the reasons behind the sudden cancellation.
The announcement left fans grappling with disappointment and frustration as they struggled to come to terms with the abrupt change in plans.
KQ Entertainment’s Official Statement read, “Hello. This is KQ Entertainment. We regret to inform you that 2025 Xikers WORLD TOUR TRICKY HOUSE: FIRST ENCOUNTER IN ASIA, originally scheduled to take place from January 17th to February 1st, has been cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances, including visa-related issues and local conditions. Details regarding ticket refunds will be provided by BoxLive Asia, the event organiser. We sincerely apologise to all the fans who were looking forward to the performance. We deeply appreciate your understanding and promise to return with an outstanding performance in the future. Thank you. — KQ Entertainment.”
While the statement expressed regret, the late timing of the announcement sparked outrage among fans. Many had already made non-refundable travel arrangements, including flights and accommodations, to attend the concerts.
“Bro, the first stop of the tour is literally TOMORROW. What are you doing announcing this now??????” one frustrated fan wrote, echoing the sentiment of many others.
Another pointed out flaws in the reasoning provided by the company: “So horrible of you to do this to the fans literally the day before their concert. You know some people travel overseas just for the concerts, right? Visa and local conditions as an excuse are a joke. We all know SEA countries don’t have any strict visa requirements for entry.”

The timing of the announcement felt particularly disrespectful to Southeast Asian fans, many of whom had gone to great lengths to prepare for the concerts. “Asian Roadys deserve better. This is so horrible and irresponsible,” another fan vented. “Announcing this one day before the Bangkok concert? I have friends travelling overseas just to see them because of the lack of dates, and now they can’t get refunds for their flights or accommodations,” someone also mentioned.

Adding fuel to the fire, KQ Entertainment’s announcement was issued in Korean, English and Japanese but omitted translations into Chinese, Indonesian, Malay, or Thai, languages spoken in the four tour locations. This omission struck many as dismissive, given the significant impact of the cancellation on fans in those regions.
“Something else that bothers me: Xikers’ Asia tour only has four locations (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Macau, China), and KQ doesn’t bother to release the statement in these four languages despite cancelling the whole thing one day before,” a fan remarked, highlighting the perceived lack of care from the company.

Although KQ Entertainment and BoxLive Asia assured fans that concert ticket refunds would be processed, the financial and emotional toll of the last-minute cancellation was undeniable. For many, the excitement of seeing Xikers live was replaced with frustration and disillusionment towards the company’s handling of the situation.
