Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra residence on Thursday early morning after which he was operated upon. He is currently in the ICU under doctors’ observation and is stable.

The Mumbai Police have intensified its search for the individual who attacked Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence, however, the mystery still revolves around the answers to some questions.
The attacker was seen in the CCTV footage taking the staircase on his way out of the building. As per sources, he was also seen on CCTV at the Bandra station bridge. Since his movement was not recorded in any other CCTV cameras, the investigators suspect he may have fled towards the Vasai-Nallasopara area by train.
However, some questions remain unanswered.
1. How did the assailant enter the building and the 12th floor where Saif lives with his family?
It was earlier reported that he may have used pipes to climb the Satguru Sharan building and entered the actor’s son Jeh’s (Jehangir) room through an opened window. Reports also surfaced that he may have used the stairs to enter the building, however, there has been no clarity on the matter so far. The question stems into another query whether there was an insider who was an accomplice in the incident.
According to Times of India, there were 11 people in the flat when the attack took place, including Saif, his wife Kareena, and two children. The police are investigating if any staff helped the intruder in. All the domestic help hail from Kerala, Bihar, and Nepal, according to the police.
The police, after their initial investigation, concluded that there were no signs of forced entry into the building. He was, however, seen using stairs to move out of the building on CCTV. He had also looked into the camera during his downward movement on the stairs.
2. How Did The Attacker Escape So Easily Despite Security In Building?
According to TOI, Kareena, who was out for a party that night, had just returned home a few minutes before the attack. Three maids, one male servant, the actor and his wife confronted the thief after which he attacked Khan with a knife.
When those present on the spot attempted to nab him, the attacker locked himself up in a room, TOI reported.
This was when Kareena rushed her husband down to shift him to the hospital. “It is suspected that this was when the intruder managed to escape,” TOI quoted the police as saying.
The intruder was seen running downstairs on the CCTV. Questions arise about how he managed to reach the stairs section of the building as there could be presence of security at the main door. There would also be a security presence on the entry and exit gate of the elite residential society. Therefore, there is no clarity on how the man managed to escape the security, ditching all cameras on the premises.
Meanwhile, due to the absence of the family drivers at that time, Kareena asked her domestic help to hail an auto-rickshaw at the soonest, after which son Ibrahim, who lives in another building in the area, along with domestic help, took Khan to the Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery, TOI reported.
3. How Did None Of Security Guards Spot Attacker Leaving The Building?
There are multple floors in the residential society and even when Saif Ali Khan was rushed to the hospital in a bleeding state amid chaos and panic, there would have been the presence of security guards and watchmen in the building.
However, according to a Times of India report, there were no personal guards at the flat or entrance to minotor visitors. The 13-storey Satguru Sharan building society also did not have register logbook to keep a tab on visitors entering or exiting the premises, the report said.
“We are genuinely surprised that such a high-profile couple does not have robust security measures in place. This incident is a wake-up call not just for them but for others in similar positions,” TOI quoted a senior investigating officer as saying.
