Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently made headlines by publicly introducing his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, on the eve of his 60th birthday. The revelation shocked fans as Aamir, who has been married twice before, opened up about his relationship with the Bengaluru-based entrepreneur. Gauri, a mother to a six-year-old son, has known Aamir for nearly two decades, but their romantic journey began just 18 months ago. Now, filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has shared his thoughts on Aamir finding love at this stage in life. Speaking to ETimes, Bhatt said, “Well, if I can get married at 50, why can’t Aamir Khan find a partner at 60? Age is just a number. There’s no age for finding happiness. As life goes by, it stops being about the excitement of a relationship and sexuality. It starts becoming more and more about companionship, and not being lonely. Having someone to hold your hand, someone to understand you, someone to say that it’s going to be alright. I’m very happy for Aamir if he has found that in a person. I wish him the best because he’s a great guy and deserves happiness.”
Bombay High Court speeds up the Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhanashree Verma’s divorce procedure due to IPL, the cricketer to pay Rs 4.75 crore alimony
The Bombay High Court has directed the Bandra Magistreate court to make a decision on Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s divorce by March 20, Thursday. For those not in the know, Yuzvendra plays for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 and the opening ceremony will take place on March 22. The court has ordered that the divorce procedure must speed up and be finalised before that. Chahal and Dhanashree subsequently filed a joint plea in the High Court, challenging the family court’s decision in Mumbai. Under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, a six-month cooling-off period is mandatory before granting a divorce decree. But in this case, six month cooling period has been waived off. This is also because the couple was already living separately since two and a half years and are getting divorced through mutual consent. The court’s order required Chahal to pay Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree. He had paid Rs 2.37 crore, the court said. The family court referenced a report from the marriage counsellor, which indicated that mediation efforts had only been partially complied with.
