Gaurav Khanna has come a long in Celebrity MasterChef. The actor, who played the role of Anuj Kapadia in Anupamaa, is now known as Chef Gaurav Khanna to all. From serving an uncooked meal in the first episode to being the first finalist of the show, his journey has been incredible to say the least. Gaurav Khanna has also been receiving major support from his fans who are cheering and rooting for his win. His fans also came out in his defense as he received some negative backlash for allegedly ‘copying’ a dish previously made by another chef.
Yesterday, a promo video of Gaurav Khanna serving dessert prepared by him went viral. Chef Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar praised him for his innovative and beautiful presentation skills. However, it was pointed out that the presentation idea wasn’t Gaurav’s original idea. As the post went viral, Gaurav’s fans soon came to his defence stating that the actor took the inspiration from the original but made a completely different dessert.
A comment in Gaurav Khanna’s support read, “Whoevr the owner of dish I want to tell him Sir u prepared beautiful dish & #Gauravkhanna took it as an inspiration, rest dish is different. In #CelebrityMasterChef evry contestant is doing same??♀️nothing is new. even 2day guest chef made it clear. They r actors not trained chefs (sic).” Another one wrote, “You can get inspiration from any dish & make your own version of it. So what’s the big deal? Chefs make versions of Bomb Alaskas or croquembouches, even simple curries. Just unnecessary banter this… #chefgaurav you did good!” He indeed made a perfectly looking, beautiful dish that deserved all the praises coming his way.

There are reports claiming that Gaurav Khanna has won the show. However, there is no confirmation as yet as the finale episode is yet to air. In a new clip, we see Munawar Faruqui, and other celebrities gracing the Celebrity MasterChef finale week.
