Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh-starrer crosses…, will the film score double century?

Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh‘s Raid 2 has been smashing records as it has no competition at the box office. The film showed a huge jump on its second Sunday, and the domestic gross is over Rs 120 crore. Amid the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, moviegoers have been rushing to cinemas to catch the screening of Raid 2.

Directed by Ram Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is a crime thriller and Ajay Devgn plays the role of Income Tax Officer who is all set to bust a white-collar crime. On the other hand, Riteish Deshmukh plays the villain and Vaani Kapoor is the leading lady. The film was released in theatres on May 1 and has been performing well at the box office.

Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh’s Raid 2 has crossed Rs 160 crore worldwide and the early estimates for Sunday are out. As per Sacnilk reports, Raid 2 earned Rs 11.75 crore on its second Sunday and the India collection is around Rs 120.75 crores. The worldwide gross on Saturday was around Rs 148.20 and on Sunday it was Rs 159 crores. Raid 2 had an average occupancy of 29.79% on Sunday. The morning shows had 12.03% occupancy, while the afternoon shows had 33.34% occupancy. The evening shows had 43.90% occupancy. As per reports, Raid 2 is the second biggest hit of 2025. The film ends with Tauji (Sourabh Shukla) teaming up with Dadabhai (Riteish). They go against Amay Patnaik (Ajay Devgn).

Currently, Akshay’s Kesari Chapter 2 is also running in theaters. The period courtroom drama stars Ananya Panday and R Madhavan in interesting roles. After Raid 2, Ajay Devgn would be seen in Son of Sardaar 2, a sequel.

Raid 2 is a sequel to Raid that was released in 2018 and the first instalment was loved by the fans. The sequel has been receiving praise and love from all.
