Manish Goel is seen as Raghav on Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa. He recently opened up about Rupali’s reaction to his entry in the show.
Rupali Ganguly is winning hearts with her performance in Anupamaa. It is the top TV serial and has been getting all the love from the audience. The show had many changes after which many new actors entered. New characters were introduced in the show. Shivam Khajuria, Manish Goel, Adrija Roy, Randeep Rai, Rahil Azam and others have entered the show. Manish Goel is seen as Raghav. His entry came as a shock for many. He came in as a murderer and later it was revealed that he was falsely trapped in that case.
Raghav is a very complex character with many layers. Manish returned to television after three years with Anupamaa. He recently spoke to Siddharth Kannan about joining Rupali’s show. He was also asked if he believes Rupali is Smriti Irani of this era in terms of impact.
Manish Goel recalls working with Rupali in 1998
He said that she has an iconic role and recalled working with her in the past. He has worked with Rupali in Zara Nachke Dikha, Bhabhi and other shows. He first met her in 1997-1998 for a project that her father was directing. He shared how he was not able to say a dialogue and felt disappointed. However, Rupali consoled him.
He further revealed that he was in Raghav’s rough looks when he did the mock shoot. Rajan Shahi took him to meet Rupali and she immediately recognised him. Manish told her not to hug him as there was all blood on his clothes for the mock shoot.
She told him that this is going to be an amazing experience for him now. He has now shot with Rupali for more than 25 days and it has been a nice experience. He was further asked if Rupali is toxic and the environment on sets is toxic because of her and Rajan Shahi. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
Rupali is toxic?
He said that he has heard of all these stories but whenever he meets a person, he decides to built his own experiences. Manish said that he also knew Rajan Shahi since the time he was director. He has meet Rupali on the first day and nothing has changed about her.
He said that they shoot and have fun. They talk about family as they both have kids and they also talk about food. Manish shared how Rupali asks him to gain some weight and he asks her to loose some weight.
