Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has finally been released in India, and early reviews from fans suggest that this Tom Cruise-starring film has gotten a much-deserved positive reaction.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is the 8th installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, which is based on a popular ’60s TV series. Tom Cruise’s return to the big screen has left viewers not just impressed but also emotional.
Fans couldn’t get enough of Tom Cruise’s stunts in this film, even after the actor turned 62 years old. Fans have lauded this Christopher McQuarrie-directed film for its to the point direction and amazing stunts. However, as many fans had expected, this part of the much-loved Mission: Impossible franchise goes a little light on the action front, but when the action really happens, it’s nothing short of jaw-dropping fans have also argued that the franchise has lost its charm over the years, with increasingly forced scripting.
While viewers might expect a slow opening during the first half, the second half does a great job in grabbing the viewers’ attention. Netizens all over the world took to X and expressed their views on the film.
A netizen wrote, “It’s a heartfelt goodbye from Ethan Hunt from the world of Mission: Impossible. 30 years. 8 films. 1 man. None other than Mr. Hollywood himself, Tom Cruise. The opening montage, stitching together the legacy of the past films, was a beautiful and emotional touch — a true love letter to everything this franchise has stood for. The action has been jaw-dropping. The commitment? Unmatched. Year after year, Tom Cruise redefines the impossible not just as an actor but as a visionary. Thank you, Tom. Mission accomplished. #MissionImpossible”

Another fan wrote, “#MissionImpossibleTheFinalReckoning – Good one, this is probably the film in the franchise with the least action… you will have to wait for all the action to happen in the last 30 minutes, but those were a blast, edge-of-the-seat stuff… simply a one-man show. This movie is about Ethan saving the world from the AI entity taking control of the world while preventing Gabriel from taking control of the entity, either of which leads to destruction. How Hunt stops it is what the movie is all about. What you expect in a Mission: Impossible franchise is some death-defying stunts loaded with action; in that front, I’m disappointed because apart from the last 30 minutes, you don’t have any noticeable action blocks; it’s dialogue-dominated. The underwater sequence and the glider sequence are just mind-blowing, brilliantly shot, and Tom Cruise in those sequences is ???. The storyline slowly builds up with lots and lots of dialogues, so you feel the lags in the initial part. Apart from lesser action blocks, the narrative also lacks the thrill; the screenplay isn’t intense apart from the end. They could have done better in the first 100 minutes of the film, and none of the supporting characters has much impact. Tom Cruise’s show all the way, and it’s written such a way, and the way it ended, I doubt this will be the end. I won’t be surprised if there’s another spin-off from here… By the way, NO END CREDITS, so don’t waste your time sitting and watching the end credits. Overall, it’s a good one but could have been better #MissionImpossibleTheFinalReckoningReview”
