After a hard-fought match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore lifted the IPL Cup, ending their trophy drought after 18 years. While everyone was celebrating in the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp, the Punjab Kings team was visibly disappointed with their performance and looked sad, even after making it to the finals after 11 years.
Famous Bollywood actress and Punjab Kings owner, Preity Zinta, was also spotted in a sad mood after the match concluded in a decisive Royal Challengers Bangalore victory by 7 runs. The actress was seen meeting with her players and sympathizing with them after the match ended. Her reaction has since gone viral on internet. In a video circulating over social media platforms, Punjab Kings owner Preity Zinta was seen sympathizing with Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer and patting his back. He had managed to take the team to the top of the points table and finished with a close loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Aside from a close loss, Preity Zinta has also faced financial loss after Punjab Kings lost in the IPL 2025 final. Reports suggest that the team winning the IPL final is awarded Rs 20 crores in prize money, and the runner-up team is given Rs 12.5 crores as prize money. If Preity Zinta’s Punjab Kings had won the match, Preity Zinta would have seen a huge profit coming her way; however, due to the team’s loss in the final and finishing as only a runner-up, she might be facing some financial losses here.
