Popular actress and model Shefali Jariwala died late Friday, June 28, 2025, after she suffered a cardiac arrest at the age of 42. Her body was sent for postmortem examination and later her family brought back her mortal remains from Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital on Saturday evening to her residence for her last rites. Several close friends from the industry and other celebrities reached out to pay their last tribute and offered condolences to the grieving family. Shefali’s sudden demise left everyone in shock.
Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, and other celebrities attended her last rites which were held in Mumbai. Several pictures and videos from her funeral were over the internet. Now, global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas offered condolences to Shefali’s family as she put up an Instagram story for her.
Priyanka Chopra shocked over Shefali Jariwala’s death
On Sunday, Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram story as she shared a picture of Shefali and expressed shock over the sudden demise. She wrote, “So shook. She was too young. Sending condolences to Parag and family.” Shefali worked with Priyanka, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

Shefali’s final rites were held at Oshiwara crematorium and her husband Parag Tyagi was seen kissing her forehead, while her mother broke down as she sat beside her mortal remains. Shefali’s father was seen consoling her while he was crying his heart out.
In the recent video, Parag broke down as he carried Shefali’s ashes to the ocean for asthi visarjan. Varun Dhawan slammed the media for insensitive coverage of Shefali’s death and wrote, “Again, one more passing of a soul being insensitively covered by the media. I just don’t understand why do u have to cover someone’s grief. Everyone looks so uncomfortable with this. How is this benefiting anyone? & my request to my friends in the media, this isn’t the way someone would want their final journey covered.”
