Hi all, am sure all must be wondering where did I disappear all these days. The last two months had been a bit busy as we shifted back to KL, Malaysia from Nairobi, Kenya. As the winding up and packing of stuff, meeting with friends all took up my time before leaving Nairobi. Returning back to home country, finding schools for kids, refurbishing the house and all has become challenging to blog. Being an expat is all about changes and now we have come back to KL for good.
I am glad that my blog has again got a recognition in a website. Do have a look into it. https://easyrecipedepot.com/food-blogs-india/ Thankyou all for the support you have been providing all this while. This recognition has again made me blog today. Thanks to www.easyrecipedepot.com for including my blog in their list of 35 Indian blogs.
Today we going to see a unique recipe that is made with soy protein – called vegetarian chicken. This is mock meat and is an option for vegetarians to include more protein in their diet. My hubby is a vegetarian but he can eat all the mock meat varieties. You can buy these in grocery stores in Malaysia.
Do try to let me know if you liked it.

METHOD with VISUAL CLICKS

Note : Vegetarian Chicken is made of soya protein. All vegetarians can eat this.
Washing the pieces after defrosting is optional. It is to remove the excess oil in them.
Instead of grinding the cumin and fennel seeds add their powders.
I added chopped tomato to the powder as they didn’t get powdered. That’s why the paste. Otherwise can ignore the grinding part.
The vegetarian chicken is little bit sweet in taste so add chili powder accordinlgy.
Add green chilies instead of dry red chilies.
If you need a bit saucy rather than this dry version then add more onion and tomato and little more water.
Add little more salt than required for the onion and tomatoes as the vegetarian chicken has salt in it.
The Vegetarian Chicken Masala is ready to be served with any Rice with Sambar or Rice with Rasam. Try and let me know if you liked it.
