Chocolate Sandwich Cookies are two cookies sandwiched with a chocolate cream. It is also known as Chocolate Cream Pies which are soft cake like chocolate cookies with a cream filling. This is favorite with my kids like my oatmeal cream pies.

Chocolate sandwich cookies are sandwich cookies which I made recently and fell in love with. Because it is fudgy and gooey at the same time. The cookies turned out to be so soft and moist so kids where literally fighting over the cookies.

What are Cream Pies or Sandwich Cookies?
cream pies are usually referred to a buttery pie which has a creamy filling. Sandwich cookies are also referred as cream pies. Some of the popular recipes are oatmeal cream pies and other flavours. Soft and chewy cookies sandwiched with a thick cream frosting is called as cream pies. It is also known as sandwich cookies.

Chocolate sandwich cookies also known as cream pies or cream cookies. These are cake like cookies sandwiched together with a creamy frosting or filling. Oatmeal cream pies is one of my all time favorite cookie recipe.
This is chocolate version and has a rich hazelnut chocolate spread filled between the cookies.

How to Make Chocolate sandwich cookies (4 Easy steps)
Pre-preparation – Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a baking pan with parchment and set aside
Making Cookie Dough – Take butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and cream well. Add in egg and mix well. Sprinkle in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and salt and mix well. Add in chocolate chips and mix well.
Baking –Take small portion of the dough and roll it into a ball. Arrange it in a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 13 to 14 mins. Remove it from oven and cool down.
Making Cream Pie – Now take two cookies, spread nutella over it and sandwich with other cookie. Serve.

| spoon some nutella on top |
